Smurfy Sailor's Neopets Page
This page has to do with the website Neopets which is
a very fun and addictive website to be at.
Questions about Neopets?
See if I can answer your question or give you new insight
about the wonderous website A.K.A. Neopets....
Read the Terms and Conditions thoroughly
I know reading terms and conditions
isn't a very fun thing to do. But its for your own good if you want to
avoid getting into trouble. It would be nice to know that you would be
warned of a violation of the Terms and Conditions you commit without
them simply freezing your account without any warning,,, But the thing
is, you just can't count on that happening.
If you read and
follow all of the Terms and Conditions that you are agreeing to when
you sign up with Neopets then you should never have any problems of
getting your account frozen and stuff. If you don't do this, even if
you don't realize you are doing something wrong.... one day... BAM...
your account may be frozen, right out of the Blue. lol heh heh heh
And
if you should get lucky enough to be warned without getting frozen
without a warning, take that warning as a blessing and quit whatever it
is you are doing wrong. If you are warned not to do something and you
continue to do what you have been warned not to do, that is just plain
stupid. I have known that for almost my entire life, lol. Its just
common sense.
I have been around for a long time so I know what I am talking about.
If
you don't heed my warning that is your problem and thats that. I just
try to help you out if you want to read my advice. Do with it what you
will. It really doesn't affect me one bit what happens to you, lol.
Enjoy the site. :-)
Almost
forgot to mention, if you are going to be posting messages anywhere on
the site and/or send neomails to people, also be sure to read the chat rules.
Having trouble logging into Neopets?
To log into Neopets you must accept their cookies. Cookies are
text sent to your computer and then sent back to the originating server
that give the server information about your computer, etc. I personally
don't usually accept these cookies unless the site doesn't work otherwise.
Neopets is a site that I must accept their cookies. You should be
able to adjust your cookie setting in your web browser in the preferences
menu.
How many Neopets can you have?
You can have up to 4 Neopets for your account, each of whom can have their own petpet.
The more neopets you have, the more you have to do to take care of them.
Feeding 2 Neopets can take twice as long to feed as 1 neopet and can also
cost twice as much as 1 neopet. The decision is yours but you might
want to consider what you could do with the extra neopoints you'd save
by having not many neopets as opposed to spending a lot on them.
Maybe purchase a neohome, invest in a shop, start a neodeck, etc.
Neoquest
Question: I started a game of Neoquest but I went back to continue and it wasn't there, what happened?
Answer:
Most likely you changed your active pet. I had to figure this out
myself, but each of your neopets can have their own game of neoquest.
Simply click your active pet's name and make the pet active that has
your game of neoquest saved on it. Voila, there is your saved game of
neoquest.
This game takes an extremely huge amount of time to
complete. I have played the game all the way through and it took well
over 50 uninterupted hours before I completed it. It could have been as
many as 100 hours and I mean this very literally. I definitely
recommend a high speed internet connection for this game. Otherwise it
might take much more than 100 hours to beat. This is also a game of
skill and a puzzle and action game all in one.
Try not to get
sent back to neopian city by dying if you can help it. You can lose as
many as 600 experience points for dying. Less experience loss if you
recently gained a new level or have maxed out your levels. (However
many experience points you have gotten since you got your last level to
a maximum of 600 points loss) Don't want to die? Then don't fight guys
that are gonna slaughter you. Fight those hard guys when you are strong
enough to whomp their ass.
I played Neoquest for a long time
without the aid of a map. I eventually concluded that a map would
significantly help me out in the game. (Playing neoquest without a map
is kind of like driving a car not knowing where the hell you are going,
and very easy to get lost in what you might call a maze) Don't be
ashamed to use a map. Using a map is a good idea. (Click here to see a website that has neoquest maps)
I started using the maps after I had almost completed the desert. I
didn't fight Xantan until after I had defeated The Archmagous of Roo
because I didn't know where he was until I saw the map!!! At least I
was so strong by that point that I flat out slaughtered Xantan. :-D
(The regular or common monsters give you experience based on your
level, If they are within a few levels of you then you should get quite
a bit of exp from them, if they are 7 or more levels below you you
might not get any exp points from these guys at all) The big boss
monsters are a fixed amount of experience points . That means they give
the same amount of experience points regardless of your level or skill
for defeating them. I believe Xantan was 500exp, Archmagous of Roo for
1000exp, The 5 guardians of Magic were 500exp each, Faleinn I showed
her the medallion and instantly got 1500exp without a real fight, and
the big final boss of the game, Jahbal was worth a whopping 5000exp
points! Once you beat the game there are no more monsters to fight
meaning you cannot get any more exp points.
The harder levels
of neoquest can be accessed after you complete the game on normal.
(Evil after beating Normal and Insane after beating Evil)
Question: What do you get for beating neoquest?
Answer:
A spiffy trophy for your cabinent for people to see when they look you
up, plus the satisfaction of knowing that the evil Jahbal will no
longer be threatening the world with his evil magic and horrifying
monsters.... Well, at least not until your next game of neoquest
anyways. LOL
*NEW* Neopets, beiong as generous as they are, has
finally decided to give out Neopoints for each level you complete. You
start out getting 25NP when you get to level 2. After that, each level
you get increases the NP you got for the last level by 25NP.
PLAY FOR FUN, and now also for a small amount of Neopoints too (and of course also for the trophy)
Bronze 3rd place trophy awarded for defeating Jahbal on Normal mode
Silver 2nd place trophy awarded for defeating Jahbal on Evil mode.
Gold Neoquest Champion Trophy Awarded for defeating Jahbal on the hardest level (Insane).
Very very few have the neoquest champion trophy. Maybe very very few want to spend over 300 hours to get it. LOL
Have Fun! :-)
Games of Luck / Chance
The games at Neopets in this catergory can be dangerous (literally).
The Wheel of Excitement and the Wheel of Medeocrity are both rigged.
It is not random what the wheel will stop on. The most common landing
for the Wheel of Excitement I have figured to be the question mark.
The question mark is worth between 1-99 neopoints and you always end up
with less than you started when it lands on this. These wheels can
also be dangerous. On the Wheel of Medeocrity there are several spaces
the wheel can land on that will inflict health damage to your neopets.
After many plays of this game I have decided to stop playing that game
on a regular basis because I determined it just isn't worth it to me....
Gambling Games such as Grarrl Keno can very easily bankrupt you if you
are not careful. You will almost always come out with less than you
started with when playing Grarrl Keno. I don't recommend this game
unless you feel like blowing away your neopoints.
Pyramids & Sakhmet Solitaire: These games are very much rigged.
Shuffle a deck of cards yourself and you have a much higher chance of winning
than with this neopets computer version.
3rd win awards 3rd place bronze trophy
5th win awards 2nd place silver trophy
After your 5th win you must win 2 games IN A ROW to get the gold champion
trophy for the game!
Check the top 200 list for cumulative on these games. There are
quite a few who do not have this gold trophy for pyramids/solitaire bonus
champion!
How rigged are these games? My winning streak for both these
games I think is less than 2% wins. Tell me what the odds are that
I will win 2 in a row........
What is the best way to get a trophy?
The very first trophy I got at Neopets was for the game called Cheat!
It is a card game that is quite fun. If you are good at this game
then it should be a good trophy to go for.
3rd win awards 3rd place bronze trophy
5th win awards 2nd place silver trophy
7th win awards 1st place gold trophy (if only they did it this
way for pyramids and solitaire...)
If you are really good at cards you might want to go for the Go! Go!
Go! Trophy. However this game doesn't pay out in neopoints nearly
as well as cheat and I think it is harder too...
2nd win awards 3rd place bronze trophy
5th win awards 2nd place silver trophy
8th win awards 1st place gold trophy (if only they did it this
way for pyramids and solitaire...)
Cellblock:
If you can get the hang of this game then you can win yourself a trophy
and also rack up a nice amount of daily Neopoints!!! (Read the rules to
learn how to play and also to see how you win the trophies)
I definitely recommend you play in the multi-player competitions.
(Kacheekers, Geos, and Armada)
These competitions go for a month and are broken into 4 rounds or one
round per week. If you win your match you get to move onto the next
round. If you can win your 2nd round (out of 4) you are guaranteed
at least a third place trophy which comes with 2500NP! If you can
go on to win the 3rd round that will guarantee at least a 2nd place trophy
and 5000NP, and should you win the 4th round that is a 1st place trophy
+ 10000NP!!!!
If you could get 1st place in all 3 competitions in one month that
would be 30000 Neopoints in one month plus have a nice looking trophy cabinet.
In the 1st couple of rounds sometimes people won't even play you at
all. All you have to do then is click on the button that says "Move
it or Lose It" 24 hours after they have not played. If they don't
play you at that point you automatically go on to the next round!
In the 3rd and 4th rounds it is a lot less likely that you will win via
"Move it or Lose it" If they move simply neomail the person and arrange
a time to play against the person when you are both online. Not too
complicated, eh? Sometimes you might get assholes who will ignore
your neomails and play you not at the same time. When this happens
no one moves onto the next round without either winning the game, "Move
it or lose it", or someone clicks the "give up" button.... Don't
get discouraged. There is always next month. Some of the people
are really nice too and you can even make neofriends by playing in the
competitions. So I definitely recommend you play in those.
Snow Wars:
This Classic Neopets Game Now Awards Trophies!!! Hey, keep at it and
sooner or later you will most likely have a nice looking trophy for
your user lookup. This game involves quite a bit of luck. After you win
your 2nd game you win a Runner up Medal (along with the snowballs).
After you beat round 5 you get a bronze trophy. After round 7 is won
you upgrade to silver trophy. After you defeat all 10 Levels you are
now a Snow Wars Champion!!! It could take awhile, but then again there
are very few awards easily won at Neopets.
Beating Punchbag Bob: Either spend countless hours like I did
or I think someone told me there are some weapons that make him easier
to beat.... Don't go for this one unless you are insane or have the
weapons to kick his ass fast!
There are other ways in which to obtain trophies. One of these
is to get a totally kick ass score on one of the flash games. This
is not easy to do and may not even be obtainable to you at all. Not
everything is possible, for if it were, then it would have to be possible
for something to be impossible..... ;-) ;-)
*hint* go for trophies on the flash games at the beginning of the month after they have just reset the high score boards. ;-)
Smurfy Sailor Recommends These Free Places at Neopets:
Coltzan's Shrine (every several hours)
The Neopets Fruit Machine(1 free spin per day)
The Snowager (catch him while he sleeping but don't wake him up or your neopets will not likely be pleased)
The FaerieLand Healing Springs (Less than an hour before her magic will be able to heal your pets again)
Tiki Tack Tombola (one free play per day)
Free Omelette to Feed Your Pets with (one omelette per day)
Free Jelly (one free jelly per day)
The Soup Kitchen Feed your pets to their heart's desire here. But only if you are in possession of under 2,000NP
The Scratchcard Kiosk
(Although you have to pay 600NP to get one, whatever card you get is
always worth more than what you paid. (unless the market price of Race
to Riches should ever fall below 600NP)

How to Become A Neopian Millionaire Without Cheating...
Give me 2 Codestones and I will Reveal my secrets... HA!
First
Tip: Don't be a fucking idiot. People who ask for items in exchange for
something else are probably trying to take your stuff and run unless it
is through the trading post. Though keep in mind that not many people
go to the trading post to seek losses. So if most everyone wants to
gain from a trade how will 2 people trading accomplish this unless they
both either break even or one takes on a loss?
Before I get on
another topic lets continue with the idiocy issue. Bottom line if you
make stupid errors at Neopets it'll most likely cost ya. As they warn
you NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR PASSWORD TO ANYONE. Period. If you do this that
is about as stupid as leaving your automobile unlocked with the keys in
the ignition while shopping at the supermarket. I mean there is just
some common sense you should have in life in general which duh, you can
also apply to your neolife. Now being intelligent can really help you
out at becoming a successful Neopian.
How to be an intelligent Neopian: Rule #1) Don't be a stupid idiot! (see above)
#2)
Always learn from mistakes, especially mistakes you personally make. Be
wise and learn from the mistakes of others as well. Some mistakes are
best avoided by not making the same mistake as someone else you have
seen make. Not enough time in life to experience every life mistake
first hand, nor is it desirable to do so.
#3) Neopets is is a
virtual world which has many common characteristics we can relate to
from our own offline world. Learn from what you do right and from what
you do wrong and constantly improve yourself to adjust to your new
found intelligence. Intelligence is worthless unless applied to life
properly. For example: If you know better than to stick your finger in
an electric outlet yet you do it anyways, your knowledge does you not
one damn bit of good when you get electricuted from sticking your
finger in an electric outlet....
Now that you have some basic knowledge of what is intelligent and what is stupid lets move on.
How
to become a millionaire without cheating? Are you fucking kidding me?
How do you expect me to do that? Get a few thousand Neopoints by
playing flash games for a few hours each night? Well, this approach
will take you lots of work, effort, frustration, and probably about a
year of patience. Basically what I am saying is that you are not going
to achieve great riches simply by playing the flash games alone.
Now
the flash games are fun and can be quite addictive, much like
everything is addictive at Neopets. The games can give you a boost when
you are poor. If you can get a high enough score to get 250NP 500NP or
750NP daily that can add up in a hurry, but plain and simple there are
only a handful of people who get this daily dose of free points out of
the many who play the game of Neopets. If you are one of these people
then good for you. I have personally made it on quite a few high score
boards at Neopets at one point or another in my neolife. Sorry for
bragging. Hopefully you don't find me arrogant. O_O
Anywhoo... you
should be able to know what you are capable of doing. Play a game and
see what score you get. Compare your score to the high scores and know
whether it is worth pursuing that list or whether it is not possible,
not worth it, or very unlikely gonna happen to ya. Don't waste your
time trying to achieve the impossible. YES SOME THINGS ARE ABSOLUTELY
IMPOSSIBLE NO MATTER WHAT. This is a fact of life. And I told ya so
because I know so for a concrete fact. The thing is, how can you tell
what is possible from something not possible? Some things are more
obvious than others. Some things may seem to be impossible but really
aren't and vice versa Some things may seem to be possible but in
reality are not possible...
Sorry, am I getting off topic
again? Well anyways, the flash games can give you boosters of NP when
you need it. Once you have the NP it is what you do with the NP which
will determine your financial success at Neopets.
How To Turn Few Neopoints into Many Neopoints:
Maybe
try Your Luck At High stakes Grarrl Keno? Damnit I sure hope you aren't
that stupid. Do you have any idea how many people have gone from
moderate wealth to totally bankrupt playing that game? Or other
extremely high risk games of luck for that matter. DOING THAT IS A BIG
NO-NO. Here is what you should so if you are smart:
Be a Shop
Wizard: Buy items at extremely low prices and mark up the price when
you put it into your shop. Keep searching through the different markets
using the shop wizard until you come across the absolute lowest price
for a particular item before you buy. If there is an item say 60,000NP
on the average low keep checking every day or whenever and perhaps
someone will sell it significantly less than the other shops, say for
35,000NP. Buy it quickly before someone else stumbles upon the great
bargain and beats you to buying it. In this example if you were to buy
said item for 35,000NP and sell it in your shop for 60,000NP, this is
25,000NP in pure raw profit. :-D
Don't be too picky on what
items you put in your shop to sell. Profit is profit. Do searches on
many items. The more expensive the item is, the larger the possible
profit margin obtainable. Start out with the less expensive items in
the beginning. Use your profit to buy more expensive items at larger
profit margins. You can make huge profit in just one day by doing
intelligent marketing. How fast will you make your first Million
Neopoints?
**WARNING** There are some dangers in doing the shop
game. Be careful of brand new items to Neopets. At first these items
will be sky high prices, and as time passes and more of the item come
into circulation, the price will lower. You can lose a lot of Neopoints
should you buy one of these items while at the sky high price. Just cuz
it is the lowest price on the wizard today absolutely will not make it
even close to the lowest price a week from today. As expected the
opposite happens too. some items will be discontinued in shops and over
time will appreciate in value over time. Perhaps it is best to keep
these items in your safety deposit box until it is at a price you would
like to sell the item at. The book "Fountain of Youth" I once bought I
think it was 50,000 some Neopoints long long ago. This item is now
almost unbuyable at all. (email me if you have one you would like to
sell to me) The goal of the game is to come out with more than you
started with. Taking on some loss happens from time to time. Get over
it already! I have had it happen to me. Just try to prevent it from
happening whenever possible and keep them as minimal as you possibly
can. As I said before, learn from your profits as much as from your
losses. The knowledge from both is equally valuable to your success at
Neopets. Know what you are doing right and keep doing it, maybe even
more so than before. Stop doing something if you are taking losses from
doing it. (unless you have good reason to continue)
Don't waste
your Neopoints upgrading your shop too much. It gets very expensive
after awhile. Isn't the goal of having items in your shop to sell them?
If not, make a seperate account to make a gallery to save Neopoints. If
yes, then sell your items already. If you are selling your items then
once sold you will have room for new items in your shop without having
to spend points on upgrading. People will only pay so much for each
item. If you are top of a high score list then you may be able to get
away with charging more than your average Neopian and actually selling
the item, but if not, then make your item the lowest on the shop wizard
or close to it. If you really don't want to part with an item then
don't put it in your shop.
Shop Smarts: When I buy from shops
I tend to try to avoid shops that take much time to load. If I am on a
timed quest I would gladly pay 100 Neopoints more for an item if it
will save me time by loading super fast. This is another reason not to
upgrade your shop too much. If you have a whole bunch of items that
takes awhile for it to load on my computer. Please don't make me load
your crap which you add on such as pictures/music files. Putting
Images/Music files in your shop is a good way to LOSE business, not
gain business. I hesitate not to click the "back" button on my browser
and pay 100NP more for the next lowest priced identical item listed if
I need the item. Now I understand that you may like to express your
personality through your shop. All I can say is that it is probably
gonna cost you some Neopoints. Not that I'm not interested in you. Put
a link to your website(s) in your shop. If it appeals to me I may stop
by for a visit after I have purchased the needed item from your fast
loading shop and finished the quest or whatever. **TO ALL THOSE WHO PUT
BLARING MIDIS IN YOUR SHOP PLEASE, PLEASE STOP. I am listening to music
already and your song you put in your shop is distracting me from my
music I am already listening too and making me want to hurry up and get
outta your shop as fast as I can so I can get back to just my own music
which I am enjoying listening to at just the right volume.
The
Neopian stockmarket used to be a good place to invest points until they
changed it so you can only buy stocks 15Np per share and above and also
made it so the market crash sometime leqaving you with none of the
points you invested. Now that they changed it around this way it is now
too risky to safely put your points in an investment of this type.
These
are all good advice to you. Learn as you go along. And most importantly
have fun with it. It is just a game, in many ways similar to the game
of life. However there are differences, should your account land in
neojail (ACCOUNT FROZEN) for whatever reason you can always start over
with a new account. Hopefully you will know what happened to get your
account frozen, maybe even be lucky enough to get a reply from the
Neopets staff informing you of why your account got frozen. Learn from
the experience. That is what I have done. I have been working hard to
restore myself on my new account. some of the trophies I am unable to
reobtain however (such as Bumper Cars Champion). Well anyways, this has
been my advice to you on how to become a Neopian Millionaire Without
Cheating....
How To Become a Neopian Millionaire through Cheating...
First
of all I am not publicly endorsing or suggesting that you cheat at
Neopets. In addition I am also not publicly suggesting/endorsing that
you should not cheat at Neopets either. Is cheating ethical? In general
I really don't think so, however I do believe there are circumstances
where cheating can be justified and is not bad under the circumstance.
Most of the time cheating is a very bad thing to do. Is cheating at
Neopets wrong? There are so many things to factor in deciding this.
Open your mind to see all the possiblities. There are many people who
cheat at Neopets. This I know for a fact. Each person has their
reason(s) for cheating. I imagine quite a few of these people who do
cheat at Neopets feel totally justified in doing so. Do they have good
or bad reasons for these justifications?
Eye of the Beholder.
Only
some of the cheaters get caught. Cheating has its risks, however can be
very profitable. If you play your cards right you could make well over
a million Neopoints in well under a month. If you get caught cheating
you could lose everything you have worked for at Neopets. One of the
most popular ways to cheat is by making accounts using the Neopets
Referral Program. {**Update** Neopets lately I have noticed is coming
down very hard on cheaters. They have found new ways to catch cheaters.
I think that is how they caught me the second time I got frozen. There
isn't any way they can catch cheaters that once were unless those
cheaters go at it again in the here and now. That is why the Top
Referrers list stays very much the same over the months. The one time
cheaters are still on the list from long ago when they could get away
with it. I think they would get frozen immediately if they should start
up again. They probably know this too, or else stopped going to the
site. I think that Neopets should reset the top referrals list or just
do away with the list alltogether because it promotes cheating.} Please
read my Neopets Experience Article to learn of what happened with me at
Neopets.
There are of course other ways to cheat at Neopets. I
know there are some people who cheat at the flash games AND IS QUITE
FUCKING OBVIOUS to me. Amazingly, some of these people actually get
away with it too. Please don't ask me for cheats on the flash games
because I DON'T KNOW HOW TO CHEAT THE FLASH GAMES. ok? I am not a
hacker either. I am pretty good with HTML though. But that ain't gonna
make me into a hacker. Feel free to email me any cheats though as I am
a curious guy afterall. (good thing I'm not a cat or that curiosity
could kill me.) :-X
Many like to cheat by making accounts also to
play the tombola and other activities of the such which are supposed to
be limited to one account per person... I'm sure there are other cheats
out there, but don't look for em here cuz I don't know of too many. Oh
yeah, there are people out there who also like to scam other Neopians
trying to take peoples accounts and stuff. Now this kind of cheating
actually hurts people. Now I don't know for myself as I have never
tried scams like that but I would think that it would be a lot harder
to cheat in that manner and be much less profitable than cheating by
the ways I previously mentioned above. See the thing is, why would a
wealthy Neopian be stupid enough to fall for a scam like that? However
I have heard that some of the scams are very cunning...
If any of
you reading this happens to be a scammer like I just mentioned would
you mind emailing me your Neopets Experience? What made you decide to
do scams? You may remain annonymous if you like. I am just curious to
your thoughts and opinions of Neopets and what kind of Experience you
have had at the site. To the best of my knowledge I am not biased so
please feel free to share your story to a listening ear.
Anyways,
as I previously mentioned I am not promoting cheating at Neopets nor
the opposite, merely telling of what goes on at Neopets. Whether you
become a part of the cheating is up to you. However, should you choose
the path of the Neopian Cheater, be very careful. It is very dangerous.
I hope you have found this informative and helpful. Perhaps you already knew a lot of what I said... well thats what I
